ABOUT US
Pond Wave is an experimental ambient band based in the Catskills of New York.
Members of the band are:
Zarah Cabañas (The Roots, Blue Man Group, City and Forest)
Matt Werden (Blue Man Group, City and Forest, A Slow Death and Loneliness)
Peter Negroponte (Guerilla Toss)
Fusing luscious textures and grooveful beats with melodic freestyling, synth-drones, and live abstract video art, Pond Wave creates deliciously wild sonicscapes for the moment, in the moment. Originally a supergroup formed to perform ambient sounds for a Catskill wedding between two artists, Pond Wave has since performed at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, The Deep Water Literary Festival, and First Fridays at New Memories.
Guest musicians have included David Christian (Mary Timony Band), Dan Arnes (Leapling), Ezra Gale (Aphrodesia), and Mark Partridge (Ambient Barn).
