CREATIVe audio at HPAC

THE IDEA

Even with a modest investment in audio gear and training, you can quickly develop a lot of useful content.  A podcast can be filled with interviews and snippets around your existing events.  You could start to offer live streaming, either free or ticketed.  Everything that ends up on stage could be documented.  Your social media accounts could be filled to overflowing.  There are plenty of possibilities.

COMMUNITY

One of the biggest benefits of having some infrastructure at HPAC would be the ability to develop a community of audio savvy folks at various experience levels.  It’s easy to imagine a vibrant group of interns, students, audio engineers, producers, and musicians getting involved with all your existing projects.  Space Acres can also offer workshops and/or educational options.

AUDIO STUDIO FACILITIES IN HPAC

To get started you could go simple with a small mobile audio rig and a laptop.  That’s the good news.  In a vacuum I’d recommend a mixing room attached to a studio/recording space.  These can be small, in basements, repurposed closets, or built out into larger spaces.  You could even get a mobile truck that semi-permanently lives behind the building, but can also travel.  I’m sure space is at a premium, so I can potentially walk through and make recommendations in person.  The mix room is best as a dedicated audio room, but a recording space can also be used as a conference room.
