Zarah Cabañas
Zarah Cabañas is a video artist, media consultant, and educator who creates meaningful experiences that bring people together. She is Co-Founder of Space Acres, a boutique creative studio tucked in the Catskill forests of New York.
As video artist vj Lady Firefly, Zarah conjures otherworldly live visuals for globally recognized musicians and immersive performance makers. Her longtime collaborators include Blue Man Group, The Roots, and Dave Chappelle, with performances at The Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, and Madison Square Garden.
She also brings her creative insight to education, partnering with New York University, Homestead School, and Manhattan Neighborhood Network to teach, shape curriculum, and design communication strategies. Zarah earned her B.F.A. in Film and Television from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
A published writer and poet, musician, World Champion eskrimador, and wildcrafting herbalist, Zarah moves through multiple disciplines with curiosity and intention. Her current work leans into the intricacies of love and desire—where intuition and mystery meet.
